Welcome

On behalf of the pupils, staff and Board of Governors, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Cooley Primary School & Nursery Unit’s website. This has been designed to give you useful information and at the same time a flavour of our daily school & nursery life and activities.

Cooley Primary School opened its doors in March 2005 as a result of the amalgamation of three rural primary schools namely Dervaghroy Primary School, The Hutton Primary School, Beragh and Sixmilecross Primary School.  The Nursery Unit opened the following September.  Our state-of-the-art building provides our pupils with an excellent environment to support their learning and development.

As a staff we strive to give all our children an education that is best suited to their individual needs and ability.  We are a school with a Christian ethos that welcomes all children.   Staff and governors in the school are committed and enthusiastic, and have the best interest of our children in all that they do.  We have very supportive parents who work in conjunction with the school and therefore together, give all our children the best start in their education.

Thank you for visiting our website.  If there is any further information you require, or if you would like to visit our school or nursery, please do not hesitate to contact us to make an appointment.
